FLAME
As if nothing could turn darkness into light
My eyes shut me up
They shut me up
As if I was a pair of cupboard doors
As if I was a window when summer avoids your fall
The flame in your closet does not speak
It burns
And while you're busy drinking
It eats your soul
And darkness comes to light
What would you do
If darkness was light and there's no fire lit
You cry
You fall
You wish you were dead
Then you realize
The moon itself is the darkness
But you ought to think
As if the sun never existed
What would the flame do
If you couldn't turn your darkness into light?
They die.
